Designing Your Digital Destiny – A Framework for Independence in the AI Era
The evolution to cloud computing and SaaS purchase models have given rise to dependence on a number of mega-vendors who have control over where our data and the infrastructure associated with that data are located. These models raise questions about who has authority over and access to our data, applications and associated infrastructure and create concerns about corporate intellectual property and sensitive data privacy and security. Further, this dependence creates a loss of control and leverage regarding the roadmaps, stability and costs of these solutions. The rising requirement to leverage AI models that require integrity of data and protection against unwanted bias increase the urgency of these issues.
This session will generate discussion about what steps need to be taken today, to create vendor independence and digital sovereignty.

AI Ethics: What Happens When Judgement Is Outsourced?
As organisations move from AI experimentation to enterprise-scale adoption, the challenge is no longer whether AI can generate value. It’s how to scale that value while maintaining trust, accountability and effective governance.
AI ethics is often discussed as a question of compliance, but for today’s technology leaders it is increasingly a question of scale. How do we accelerate innovation without increasing risk? How do we maintain human judgement in an environment where AI is influencing more decisions and actions than ever before?
Through examples from history, human decision-making research and the contact centre, this session explores how AI ethics forms the foundation for trust, governance and responsible AI adoption. We’ll examine how leaders can balance innovation with oversight, create governance models that enable rather than constrain, and build the organisational capability required to use AI effectively at scale.
Attendees will gain practical approaches to balancing governance and agility, strengthening AI literacy, and ensuring human accountability remains at the centre of AI-enabled decision-making.
Because AI success will not be defined by access to the technology. It will be defined by an organisation’s ability to combine AI capability, human judgement and governance to deliver outcomes with confidence.

His work spans agent governance and orchestration, API and data management, event-driven architecture, and grounding AI systems in trusted enterprise data — with hands-on experience across major cloud AI platforms and enterprise application ecosystems.
He’s known internally for building field-executable positioning that holds up under scrutiny from sophisticated buyers and analysts — consistently pushing for honest, capability-versus-roadmap clarity rather than overstatement in customer- and analyst-facing material.
