At the Crossroads: How Global Tensions Shape Adriatic Tech and Investment – Panel Discussion
The Adriatic region sits at the intersection of shifting global dynamics, where tax and trade tensions, supply chain disruptions, inflation, and war are reshaping investment flows. This panel explores how resilient our economies are to such shocks and what role EU integration—or fragmentation—plays in attracting technology investment. We will look at how the US-China-EU triangle of influence frames opportunities and risks for our region, and where growth may realistically come from in the next five years.
At the same time, the discussion will zoom in on the role of technology leaders: how should they read the situation, balance local needs with strategic directives from European HQs, and understand where real decision-making power lies? What signals from HQ are essential, and what domestic realities must not be overlooked? And critically, how do you plan—one quarter, one year, or three years at a time? Should your vision be short-term, long-term, or both?
