Joel Stradling
As research director for IDC’s European Security practice, Joel Stradling leads the content and analyst team for tracking the European security segment. His main focus area is the integration of network plus security and evolution of network architectures towards software-defined secure access.
Stradling has 20 years of experience as an analyst of international managed enterprise network and IT services. Nuno Abreu is the Head of Information Technology at Unilever FIMA, where he leads the digital transformation agenda with a strong focus on innovation, automation, and operational excellence.
With a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, he brings nearly three decades of experience in IT leadership, project management, systems architecture, and business process optimisation – a domain he is deeply passionate about.
Nuno has spearheaded strategic initiatives including process dematerialisation and orchestration, modernisation of analytics systems, data centre-to-cloud migration, rollout of field execution solutions, and the adoption of low-code platforms to extend agility where traditional ERP systems fall short. He has also led experimental initiatives to support new business ideas and explore emerging technologies.
In this role, he bridges global corporate standards with local business needs, delivering impactful solutions across the entire business landscape.
